pam_lirc iconpam_lirc 2

A PAM authentication module
pam_lirc is a PAM authentication module that lets you type your password on a remote control.

This might be usable with KDMs default user features to log in without touching keyboard or mouse.

Compilation && Installation

On Ubuntu/Debian, you need at least the following packages to compile:

  libpam0g-dev
  liblircclient0-dev

If you have everything you need for compilation, type:

  make

If that goes well, become root and run:

  make install

This will install the module pam_lirc.so to /lib/security/.
