pyxattr is a Python module for accessing filesystem's extended attributes.

This python 2.4+ extension module allows you to manipulate the extended attributes present in some os/filesystem combinations.

Requirements:

· Python >= 2.4
· Linux kernel v2.4 or later, with libattr installed (all modern distributions should have this, under various names); also the filesystems you use must have EAs turned on, either as a compile or mount option.
