Parted Magic Partition Manager DirectBoot is a partition manager based on Parted Magic which allows for the creation, resizing, deletion, and copying of partitions using GParted.
Unlike a standard standalone GParted application, this also allows for the manipulation of the root partition, as it boots into its own environment rather than running under the host operating system, but unlike a live CD like Parted Magic, it does not require a CD to function; just install the package and it will be available to boot from.
