XDAQ is a middleware that eases the tasks of designing, programming and managing data acquisition applications by providing a simple, consistent and integrated distributed programming environment. The framework builds upon industrial standards, open protocols and libraries.

XDAQWiki runs on a combination of Apache2, MySQL and PHP5 with eAccelerator powered by XAMPP version 0.3. The XDAQ server is an Apple dual G5 running Tiger.

It has the following components:

Core Tools contains all required packages to start with XDAQ.
Power Pack contains packages that ease the development of distributed DAQ systems.
Work Suite contains specific DAQ programs such as an event builder and readout components.
