CRCRepair is an application that checks the CRC values of portions of a file and attempts to fix corrupted parts, if they exist, by downloading from the Internet. It can create the CRC values for later checking, also.
CRCRepair is written in pure Java, so you'll need the JVM to use it.
To create a CRCR profile:
java -jar crcrepair.jar [file] [profile]
([file] is the file that you want to make a profile of)
([profile] is the file that the profile will be written to)
To check a file using a CRCR profile:
java -jar crcrepair.jar [profile]
([profile] is any profile that has been created using CRCRepair)
In order to allow CRCRepair to fix a file after you make a profile of it, you must edit the profile and add an HTTP mirror. You must use this syntax:
Make sure not to use http:// and make sure to use a comma after the host name.
