TCgui is a frontend for truecrypt.
Here are some key features of "TCgui":
· konqueror integration
· you can save mountpoints for your volumes
· you can use various formats for your volumes, such as ext2, ext3, reiserfs. However, usermount only works with fat-volumes.
· the gui is i18n prepared and can be translated.
· truecrypt 4.3a
Run ./installer.sh as user (not root !) after unpacking the tarball.
truecrypt must be executed with root privileges for tcgui to work. To achieve this, add the following 2 lines to your /etc/sudoers
Defaults:youruser !syslog, !logfile
youruser localhost=NOPASSWD : /usr/bin/truecrypt
replace youruser with your username.
The first line will disable sudo logging for your user so your password will not be saved in a logfile.
