JXplorer is an open source, multiplatform and freely distributed graphical software implemented in Java and designed from the offset to act as a general purpose LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) browser, offering LDIF (LDAP Data Interchange Format) and i18n support.
The application can be used to read and search any LDAP directory on your network, as well as any X500 directory that features a LDAP interface. It is very secure, powered by the latest SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), SASL (Simple Authentication and Security Layer) and GSSAPI (Generic Security Service Application Program Interface) technologies.

Key features include standard LDAP operations, such as add, delete, drag and drop editing, copy and modify, complex operations like tree copy and tree delete, optional UI-based search filter construction, pluggable editors, viewers, as well as security providers.
Moreover, the software allows users to configure HTML templates and forms, supports multi valued RDNs (Recovery Database Networks), supports client certificates and keys, and lets you copy data between windows.
In addition, it offers complex searching functionality, support for Unicode characters, support for using UTF-8 in DNs, Schema support, paged results, support for complex DNs, DSML (Directory Services Markup Language) support, and support for version 2 of the LDAP protocol.
