Dirlogger GUI is a free and very simple graphical software designed from the to act as a GUI (Graphical User Interface) front-end for the Dirlogger command-line program, which is a powerful utility for monitoring and logging the activity of directories and files.

The software can monitor/log any changes of files and folder on your filesystem, and it can also calculate MD5 checksums. You will be able to select the interval for monitoring operations in minutes and view the status in real time.

Getting started with Dirlogger GUI

Dirlogger GUI it’s so simple that it does not even require installation. To use it, simply download the universal binary package, extract it using an archive manager utility, open the outputted folder and double click on the dl_gui file.

A single window will open, allowing you to choose the directory to be monitored, select the target datafile to be saved, select the target log file for logging changes, enable the calculate MD5 checksum option, as well as to enable the time interval for checking.

Runs on GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows

Both Dirlogger and Dirlogger GUI are cross-platform applications that are supported on any GNU/Linux distribution, as well as on the Microsoft Windows (XP/Vista/7/8) operating systems. On GNU/Linux, the software requires version 4 or later of the libXmp library.
