    NEO description

Objects and IO to manipulate electro-physiological (in vivo and/or simulated) data

NEO (Neural Ensemble Objects) and is a project to provide a common set of base classes to be used in neural data analysis, with the aim of getting OpenElectrophy, NeuroTools and maybe other projects with similar goals more close together.

Two major objectives have been defined so far:

     * The first milestone is to define common class names and concepts for dealing with electro-physiological (in vivo and/or simulated) data.
     * The second milestone is to re-implement these abstract classes as modules that would fit both of the projects.

People behind the project are very open to discussion. Any feedback is gladly welcome and highly appreciated!
