KAstrometry is an astrometry program for KDE. It is written in Python. It aims to be a good tool to make measurements of objects in space from images taken by CCD cameras.

Such measurements might be used to find orbits of astroids or record the brightness of variable stars. One day, it should be able to record an object's position, detect stars, and find coordinates using star catalogs
