Project Prophecy's goal is to develop algorithms for the basic tasks that a robot dog needs to perform, such as:
· Image recognition
· Speech recognition
· World representation
Ideally, these algorithms should be produced nearly automatically by learning, self-optimizing and self-organizing components.
The tasks to be solved are represented by examples, such as a series of images with information on what they depict. Any algorithm claiming to solve the task is tested against this test suite and assigned a score.
This way, the best algorithms emerge quickly and are subject to further optimization.
