ages is a GNOME-based interface to the Aegis software.
ages is a GNOME-based interface to the Aegis software. It provides a comfortable way to access the most common used functions available from Aegis.

To run ages, select ages from the Development sub-menu of the Main Menu, or type ages from the command line.

Here are some key features of "ages":


Due to the fact that ages is in early development state it doesn't have all the features it should. Here is a list of features that are already available.

· create new projects, branches and changes from withing the GUI
· project/branch dialog

+ user administration
· change dialog
+ change state dependent (different features for the states
awaiting_development, being_developed, being_reviewed,
awaiting_integration, being_integrated and completed).

+ file operations: new, view, edit, remove, undelete
+ change operations: build, run test, review pass, review fail,
integration pass, integration fail
+ config file druid
· everything I forgot ;-)

About Aegis

Aegis is a transaction-based software configuration management system. It provides a framework within which a team of developers may work on many changes to a program independently, and Aegis coordinates integrating these changes back into the master source of the program, with as little disruption as possible.
