JEXIT is a Java tool that answers only one purpose: Simple and quick testing of regular expressions. Though very powerful, regular expressions are unfortunately very crpytical. Before you use them in your application, you should better check their functionality.
JEXIT (Java Regular EXpression ITerator) makes this easy: Just input the data your expression will be typically used on in the first field, and the regular expression in the second. Press Check RegEx and compare the output list with the results you had expected. Soon you will notice, how much time JEXIT saves you by revealing potential errors in your regular expression before you integrate it in your application.
