    libvpd description

    libvpd is a library for the lsvpd project, an utility to List Device Vital Product Data (VPD).

    libvpd is a library for the lsvpd project, an utility to List Device Vital Product Data (VPD).

    The lsvpd utility lists device Vital Product Data (VPD), which includes the following information and more: vendor, version, revision level, serial number. This utility has been tested on ppc64, ppc, and i386 platforms.

    The 1.3.4 release is the first release where libvpd has been split into a separate package from lsvpd. You will need to download and install both packages (libvpd first) for lsvpd to run.

    Requirements:

    · zlib
    · sg3_utils
    · sqlite
    · Linux 2.6
    · librtas (on ppc machines only)
    · libstdc++

    What's New in This Release:

    · Update include files for building with newer gcc
