Pomm For Linux

POMM stands for PHP Object Model Manager and it’s an open source web-based application implemented in PHP and designed from the ground up to act as an object-oriented database access framework for the PostgreSQL database server.

Key features include complete support for the PostgreSQL database server, the ability to shape data structures while keeping the same performance, implementation of the proposing convenient and identity map design pattern functionalities, as well as support for the latest version of the PHP server-side programming language (PHP 5.4 or later).

The software propose database introspection, model PHP classes generation, on-the-fly conversion, collection, pagers, a Where clause builder, finders, filters, query filters, asynchronous messaging, virtual fields, lazy hydration, SQL formatters, as well as debugging and security tools.

The POMM project is distributed on Softpedia as a TAR archive, which includes the source code of the application. It can be easily installed on your GNU/Linux system by using the ‘composer’ installer and autoloader. To use it in your project, just place the ‘composer.json’ file in the root folder of your project. The file should contain the following code:

Then, all you have to do is to invoke the ‘composer.phar’ file to automatically grab the latest version of the application, install it in the vendor dir and configure the respective autoloader. Below is an example on how to run POMM tests:
