bprom
bprom software can be used to read or write EPROMs or EEPROMs with the �-prom 2001 programmer by the German brand Dr. B�hm GmbH connected with a null modem cable to your Linux box.

Other programmers of the same brand, like the �-prom, use a different protocol and therefore can't be used with this software.

Installation:

The configuration script is just a dummy, that let's you know that there is
none!

To compile it, type:

make

and install it as root, e.g. with:

sudo make install

By default, it installs the binary at /usr/local/bin and the man file at
/usr/local/man/man1. If you want to change this, change the Makefile.

bprom has been tested with gcc, gnu make and linux 2.6 (xubuntu 7.04), but should compile on most other systems without changes.
