bprom is a console application used to read or write EPROMs or EEPROMs.
Other programmers of the same brand, like the �-prom, use a different protocol and therefore can't be used with this software.

To compile it, type:
and install it as root, e.g. with:
sudo make install
By default, it installs the binary at /usr/local/bin and the man file at
/usr/local/man/man1. If you want to change this, change the Makefile.
bprom has been tested with gcc, gnu make and linux 2.6 (xubuntu 7.04), but should compile on most other systems without changes.
