Installation:
To install SoftMaker Office, first switch to the directory below which you want to install it, for example:
cd ~ to install below your home directory
cd /opt to install below /opt
cd /usr/local to install below /usr/local
Note: You need administrator rights (root) to install SoftMaker Office beyond your home directory.
Then, unpack SoftMaker Office as follows:
Extract the files with: tar xzvf ofl06trial.tgz
Finally, start TextMaker or PlanMaker by typing:
cd officetrial
./textmaker
./planmaker
