Virtual News Reader is a computer desktop application that can convert text (idealy for online news) into Virtual Voice and can be saved on computer. The project is using Java, (JSAPI), DJProject, Substance, FreeTTS (Text-To-Speech synthesis) & other.
The Virtual News Reader (VNReader) is a computer desktop application that can convert English text into digital sound. It will help users to export the converted sound file to computer desktop, and enable users to listen to this sound file anywhere at anytime. The idea of this project is to create a desktop application, which enables users to convert text into sound, ideally news article that users like. Users can uses this application to get news article from different web-pages then convert it into a suitable sound format that users can easily listen to. Users can also use this application to convert any text into virtual voice and have fun with their own creativity.
The VNReader is currently using many different technologies, such as: Java programming language, Java Speech API (JSAPI), FreeTTS (Free Text to Speech Synthesizer), Substance, and DJProject.
