Mkv2Avi is a Kommander script that uses mencoder to convert Matroska (*.mkv) video files to Avi (Divx or Xvid).
Not much effort went into this script. I simply wanted an quick GUI to do a few conversions and thought I might share it.
Most likely your mkv file will be a very high quality. I would suggest using a bitrate of 3000 to preserve the quality.
The Divx and Xvid codecs are required as well as mp3lame.
I cant offer much support as I am not much of a mencoder user.
