CADEMIA Community Edition is the freely downloadable version of this innovative new CAD software. It is supported by an active group of developers. CADEMIA Community Edition uses the GPL License and is mainly designed for private use and teaching purposes. It contains all important functionality. Questions and problems concerning this edition will be answered by the open source developers and active users in the forum or the FAQ part of this website.
CADEMIA is a modular constructed software and offers lots of possibilities to integrate other functionality. Due to this flexibility CADEMIA can easily be custom-modeled to fit individual needs. CADEMIA is programmed in JAVA and therefore platform independent. This way it serves as an inexpensive alternative to proprietary CAD software.
