cd2ogg is a robust and highly customizable terminal based CD to OGG/Vorbis, MP3 and FLAC ripping/encoding tool. It has most of the features found in Grip, plus the ability to rip now, encode later. Now with the added power of Lemon!

Here are some key features of "cd2ogg":

Automatic cd track information lookup
Adds track info tags into audio file for use on audio jukeboxes
Allows mass ripping of your cd collection with minimal user input
Ability to rip tracks from cd and encode at a later time (This allows you to just copy the audio to the hard drive, we create scripts that will automatically encode your ogg files with the informational tags and remove the cd audio file at completion)
Highly configurable
Works just fine behind proxies

What's New in This Release:

added a few extra colors into output

options added:
G now disables any genre tagging
-list will perform a cddb lookup and display disc information

features added:
'various artists' albums will now tag the individual tracks with the proper artist name as long as the freedb data is properly formatted (Artist / Song) and the main artist listed is 'Various' or 'various'. If the main artist isn't listed as Various then you can use "-a Various" to override

bugs squished:
the new oggenc doesn't like the way of adding comments and it would complain about multiple output files specified. fixed
