TGuitar For Linux

TGuitar is a freeware and multiplatform software project that has been designed from the offset to be used by amateour guitarists as a time-manager/time control and organizer for guitar training materials. Please note that this is not an open source software.

Key features include time recording sessions, an organizer of your tablature, backtrack and video collection, support for statistics, a simple metronome that features speed coach and timer, a simple analog tuner, map of fingerboard, as well as a music notation pointer.

With TGuitar, beginner guitarists will be motivated to play the guitar every single day. It will help you effortlessly organize your training materials, so you can quickly access them whenever you want to play the guitar.

To use TGuitar on your GNU/Linux system, download the latest version from Softpedia, save it on a location of your choice, unpack the contents of the archive, access the ‘TGuitar’ forlder and double-click on the ‘tguitar’ executable.

All of its components are presented to users at a glance, allowing them to highlight or show octave, enable or disable map of fingerboard, start a new session, as well as to view statistics about previous sessions.

The application has been successfully tested with various distributions of Linux, including openSUSE KDE 12.x and 13.x, Linux Mint Xfce 13, 14 and 15, Linux Mint Mate 13, 14 and 15, Linux Mint KDE 13, 14 and 15, Ubuntu 12.04 and 13.10, as well as the Microsoft Windows XP and 7 operating systems.

At the moment, the application is distributed as pre-built, universal binary packages that have been optimized only for 64-bit computers. While the entire software is written in the Lazarus programming language, it uses the cross-platform GTK+ GUI toolkit for its graphical user interface.
