    Nevena's Metronome description

Nevena's Metronome is a metronome program with Qt GUI.

Nevena's Metronome is a metronome program with Qt GUI. Besides just being beautiful, and working under X11, Mac and Windows, it has some advanced features, for example it can count to you or act as a stroboscope.

Here are some key features of "Nevena s Metronome":

    BPM

Sets speed of stroboscope in BPM (Beats Per Minute).

    Tact

Sets number of tacts. This is only the number, not the length, so if you are playing either 3/4 or 3/3 score you should set it to 3. If you are playing a 7/8 score you should set it to 7 and so on... This option is only needed if you are viewing fields or listening to counting.

    Stroboscope

Turns stroboscope on and off. Stroboscope makes full window go black or white with each tact. This is useful if you don't want sound as you won't need to look at the screen to know that tact is changed, window will lit or dim your whole room, especially when it is dark (maximize the window for full effect).

    Pendulum

Currently not functional, but when (if) it becomes, it will display metronome pendulum.

    Fields

Turns fields on and off. Fields will show you at which tact you currently are at.

You can have any number of Stroboscope, Pendulum and Fields options set at the same time.

    Beep

Plays system beep with each tact.

    Counting

Plays samples of counting with each tact. So, you will hear 'one', 'two', 'three'...

    Ticking

Plays samples of ticking with each tact.

You can have only one (or none) of Beep, Counting and Ticking options set at the same time.

    Counting samples

Sets directory of counting samples. If you want to make your own samples, you should create an empty directory and put inside it samples named 1.wav, 2.wav, 3.wav and so on. I would like to have samples in various voices and languages, so please send them to me and they will be included in next distribution of Nevena's Metronome.

    Ticking samples

Sets directory of ticking samples. If you want to make your own, create an empty directory and put inside it samples named tick.wav and tack.wav. Again, I would like to have ticking of a real metronome, so if you have it please send it to me and it will be included in ditribution. Any other interesting ticking as well.

    Requirements:

    · Qt 3

    What's New in This Release:
