FMOD Ex Programmer’s API is a free library software that provides application programming interface (APIs) to add sounds to your title(s). It uses the FMOD Ex low level API for a direct interface for channels, sounds, 3D, geometry and DSP.

The software also uses the FMOD Designer API as an interface to easily load FMOD Designer projects, as well as to control events with parameters. FMOD 3 is the tried and true engine that started it all. It is still supported and ships in hundreds of titles that have sold millions of units, and features all the basic audio functionality needed for your title.

FMOD Ex Programmer’s API is a true cross-platform software that runs on any GNU/Linux distribution, as well as on the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X computer operating systems, supporting 32 and 64-bit CPU architectures.

The software is compatible with various mobile operating systems, including Android, Windows Phone 8 and iiOS. It is also supported on the PS3 (PlayStation 3), PS4 (PlayStation 4), PSVita (PlayStation Vita), Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U gaming consoles.
