FLAC 1.3.0

The Free Lossless Audio Codec
FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec and it's an open source and grossly oversimplified audio code, similar to MP3, but lossless.

Being a lossless codec means that audio is compressed without any loss in quality. FLAC is freely available and supported on most operating systems, including UNIX (Linux, *BSD, Solaris, OS X, IRIX), BeOS, OS/2, Windows and Amiga.
