noop linux MATE is an open source, lightweight, free, easy-to-use and independent operating system built around the Linux kernel and the MATE desktop environment, a clone of the old-school GNOME Classic session.

The MATE edition of noop linux is distributed as two Live DVD ISO images of approximately 1GB in size each, one for each of the supported architectures, 32-bit (i386) and 64-bit (x86_64). This means that the distro can be used on both old and modern computers.
