Manjaro Linux LXDE-qt Community Edition is an open source and freely distributed edition of the well known Manjaro Linux operating system built around the revamped LXDE-Qt desktop environment, a mix between the original Razor-qt window manager and the original LXDE project, which uses the GTK+ toolkit.

The distribution is available for download as a single, hybrid Live DVD ISO image that can be used as-Is from a bootable medium, such as DVD disc or USB flash drive. At the moment it supports only the 64-bit (x86_64) hardware platform.

It features a standard boot prompt that can also be found on other editions of the Manjaro Linux distribution, allowing users to start the live environment with default settings or with proprietary drivers.

Users can boot an existing operating system installed on the first hard disk drive, view detailed information about the hardware components of the computer they are trying to run Manjaro Linux LXDE-Qt Community Edition, as well as to run a memory diagnostic test from the boot menu.

As mentioned, the distribution uses the LXDE-Qt desktop environment, which is comprised of a single taskbar located at the bottom edge of the screen and designed to allow users to access the main menu, launch applications, interact with running programs, and switch between virtual workspaces.

Default applications include the GIMP image editor, QupZilla web browser, Xpdf PDF document viewer, Geany IDE, SMPlayer video player, Xfburn CD/DVD burning software, QTerminal, LXTerminal, Xfce Terminal and XTerm terminal emulators, Leafpad text editor, and PCManFM file manager.

In conclusion, Manjaro Linux LXDE-qt Community Edition is a really lightweight and modern operating system that is stable, based on Arch Linux and crafted to perfection. It will support low-end machines with only 512 MB of RAM!
