Parolu is an extension which enables Mozilla products users to do speech synthesis of web pages written in Esperanto.
Parolu enables Firefox to do speech synthesis of web pages written in Esperanto, useful for the blind and for language learners. Press F9 (or Tools/Parolu/.../enhavon) to read the whole page aloud (Firefox may slow as text is processed), or, control-F3 for the next sentence, control-F2 for the previous sentence, control-F1 to return to the start.
You first need to install the free Mbrola speech engine on your machine. To do this, go to http://tcts.fpms.ac.be/synthesis/mbrola/mbrcopybin.html and install the MBROLA binary into C:Program FilesMbrola Tools, then copy an MBROLA Polish Voice into C:mbrolapl1 such that the voice file itself is at C:mbrolapl1pl1 and when Mbrola first runs and asks for your default database just enter C:mbrolapl1pl1.
