Have you ever copy & pasted something into Thunderbird or Office and been annoyed that the text formatting (bold, font size, etc) came with it? Don't you wish you could just copy the text itself, without having to copy it, paste it into notepad, then copy it again? This extension gives you an option to copy text without the formatting. You can even set it to trim extra space in and around the copied text!

The Copy Plain Text - EVE add-on has been reconfigured to improve compatibility with more recently released versions of Firefox and Thunderbird. Aside from that, there has been no change to the addon itself because this plugin already performs its function very well: copy plain text.
This is what I call an Extended Version Edition, or EVE. The maximum allowed version is indicated within the version number itself, which is made up of three separate sections as follows:
For example: 0.3.4.EVE10.0a1
Segmented: (0.3.4) (.EVE) (10.0a1)
- 0.3.4 refers to the plugin version.
- .EVE indicates that the plugin is an Extended Version Edition.
- 10.0a1 is the maximum allowed version of the software into which the plugin will install.
How to Install in Thunderbird:
1. Right-click the link below and choose "Save Link As..." to download and save the file to your hard disk.
2. In Mozilla Thunderbird, open Add-ons from the Tools menu.
3. Click the Install button, and locate/select the file you downloaded and click "OK".
