Tab Counter provides a simple SeaMonkey and Firefox extension that counts the number of open tabs.

Tab Counter is an open source add-on designed to work with Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or later and SeaMonkey 2.0 Alpha 1 or later.

This add-on doesn't require you to restart the web browser.
