Plugins can be installed without explicit user permission and without visual feedback.
PluginChecker is a Firefox, Thunderbird and SeaMonkey extension that improves the standard Extensions Manager showing informations about the new installed plugins.
The dialog is shown at application startup like already Extensions Manager does for extensions
