Joget Workflow Community Edition For Linux

Joget Workflow Community Edition is the free and open source version of the commercial and feature-rich Joget Workflow web-based and platform-independent software that helps anyone who has a little bit of knowledge in programming to easily build enterprise-ready web application for mobile and cloud.

Being bundled with Apache Tomcat, the Joget Workflow Community Edition software will allow you to build full-fledged applications, including Healthcare, HR (Human Resources) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems. The software is fully extendable via plugins, thanks to its powerful plugin architecture.

You will be able to drag & drop lists, UI elements and forms, as well as to add workflows for an automated process. The application comprises of a workflow designer, workflow engine, datalist builder, userview builder, form builder, user management, app center, enterprise application marketplace, PaaS for public cloud, PaaS for private cloud

Another interesting feature is that it can be easily integrated into other projects and supports mobile platforms. Joget Workflow Community Edition runs on GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows platforms, and it’s also distributed as a commercial only Enterprise Edition.

To use the application, you will need to download the pre-built binary from Softpedia or via its official website (see link at the end of the article). Save the archive somewhere on your computer, unpack it with your preferred archive manager software, and fire up your favorite Terminal app.

In the terminal emulator window, navigate to the path where the extracted archive files are located using the ‘cd’ command (e.g. cd /home/softpedia/joget-linux-4.0.8) and execute the ‘sh setup sh’ command to configure the software. Follow the on-screen instruction to finish the configuration and installation, so you can start your web browser and use the application to create web apps.
