Evennia is an open-source Python MUD/MU*/MUX server built on top of the Twisted library using the Django framework. This combination of modern technologies allows our users to quickly and easily flesh out text-based massively multi-player online games in a very accessible language. You don't have to know anything about Twisted or Django to use Evennia - you code your game using normal Python modules. Evennia supplies both an ajax mud-client and a web-server out of the box.
The project site hosts the main Evennia development effort. There you can download Evennia itself, read the documentation and report bugs and ideas to our issue tracker. You can see the latest updates on the right. By subscribing to the commit log, you will be notitfied of code changes as they happen.
The forum is a web interface to a mailing list where you can post any questions and suggestions as well as generally get in touch with us if you want to help out. You can do this either by sending an e-mail to the list or by joining the group and posting directly using the web interface. Please note that to limit spam your very first post will go into a moderation queue and have to be approved by admins before actually appearing in the list.
For live discussion, our IRC channel is #evennia on the Freenode network. The channel is logged and every week a post is made to the commit log with the past week's discussions. When visiting the channel, please remember that people are in very different time zones and many have busy lives. So if you don't get a reply right away, be patient and hang around - you'll get noticed eventually! If you still don't catch anyone in chat, use the forum instead, that is the best way to make sure your comments get noticed.
