This is the companion for GoogleReaderPlus.

Reader Plus Toolbar button extension adds a button in the Chrome toolbar, showing you unread count feeds and fast access using menu to GoogleReader and Preferences page.

Now, it could be used as a standalone extension, since popup shows last unread items with it preview as tooltip.
