pastego is a Firefox extension that will go to the URL in clipboard (or Linux selection buffer) when the toolbar button is clicked or the menu item is selected.
Developer comments
The url opens in a new tab by default; change the preferences if you prefer it to open in the same tab. This extension has a similar goal to that of paste and go, but provides a menu entry and toolbar button, which I have found more convenient.
