WikiTrust is a Firefox extension that modifies web pages from Wikipedia to add a "trust tab" to the top of articles. When you click on the trust tab, the extension determines which Wikipedia article you are looking at and attempts to find the equivalent page on the UCSC WikiTrust demo at http://wiki-trust.cse.ucsc.edu, giving quick and easy access to the demo data.
At UCSC, the WikiTrust project is studying the edits made in Wikipedia and writing tools which add color markup to the pages to indicate the "trust" value of recently changed text. This add-on modifies your view of en.wikipedia.org pages to add a trust tab which gives quick and easy access to the demo data.
To see an example of the add-on at work, install the add-on then visit the Wikipedia page for "Rio Grande". When you click on the trust tab at the top, the page will darken with a notice, and then refresh with the information from the UCSC site.
At the present the data available at UCSC is limited and very old. A warning is displayed at the top of the trust colored data, reminding users that the data is old. If the page does not exist in the WikiTrust demo, the article "text" will display a message to that effect.
