Text Area Resizer & Mover is a Firefox extension that allows you to easily resize or even move textareas.
Yes, there already exist extensions that promise to do almost the same. Unfortunately none of them worked perfectly for me. There were too many cases when textareas were locked, no way to resize. So I decided to create another extension, providing more options too.
TextAreaResizer does not need a grip, just resize by right clicking anywhere inside of the area. So dragging becomes an really easy task and the often sensible site layout remains untouched.
Additionally you can move whole textareas to another place. Doubleclick inside of an area and all areas will get unlocked and movable. The repositioned area will stay fixed on the place of your choice even if you are scrolling the page. Doubleclick once more to lock the areas again. The extension's options allow some manual adjustments (e.g. use context menu item instead of doubleclick or addidtional key modifiers for mouse gesture users).
Extensions need approval here and it seems the reviewers have very much to do. So if you need to update before it gets available here visit my website.
If you may find a place where this extension fails to work (very unlikely), please do not forget to post the URL, otherwise I'm unable to fix it!
