TabGroups Manager is a Firefox extension that can divide the tab into the Group. And, it can classify tab by giving a name to the Group.
Because it becomes easy to manage even if many open the tab, more tabs can be opened.
TabGroups Manage is useful for the person who opens a lot of tabs.

The Group can hibernate.
Because only minimum information is preserved for hibernated Group, the memory can be saved.
When you open the tab too much and Firefox slows, it is useful.
It corresponds to the standard SessionStore of Firefox.
When Firefox is rebooted, Tab, Group, and Hibernated Group is restored.
When TabGroups Manager is installed for the first time, all tabs are restored in one Group.
Screen composition
"GroupBar" is displayed above "TabBar".
Three buttons("+","o","-") and "GroupTabs" are displayed in the GroupBar.
One "GroupTab" shows one "Group".
Two or more tabs can be stored in the "Group".
Operation
To operate it as intuitively as possible, I made it.
I think that you can use the basic operation, even if you don't read following explanations.
If you want to know what is allocated operation, please look at the setting window.
When new tab is opened, it is added to current Group.
When all tabs in the Group are deleted or moved, the Group is automatically deleted.
- Operation of Button
"+" Button : Open Button
Left-click : (new)It is customizable in the setting.(default:Open new Group)
Middle-click : (new)It is customizable in the setting.(default:Close current Group)
Double-click : (new)It is customizable in the setting.(default:None)
Right-click : GroupBar menu is displayed.(It is the same as the menu of right-clicking the GroupBar.)

Middle-click : It is customizable in the setting.(default:Restore last Hibernated Group)

Left-click : Select this Group.

Right-click : Group menu is displayed.
(new)Hibernate : Hibernate this Group.
Close : Close this Group.
Rename
Rename Group by dialog box: The dialog box to rename this Group is displayed.
(new)Rename History : This Group is renamed by history of name that Group was renamed.
Automatically rename(name, icon) : Group Title and Group Icon are set by current tab in this Group.
(new)Automatically rename(name only) : Group Title is set by current tab in this Group.
(new)Automatically rename(icon only) : Group Icon is set by current tab in this Group.
(new)Disable automatically rename : Switch enable/disable of automatically rename.(Please use it when you want to change neither Group Title nor Group Icon.)
- Operation of GroupBar
Left-click : (new)It is customizable in the setting.(default:None)
Middle-click : (new)It is customizable in the setting.(default:Open new Group)
Double-click : (new)It is customizable in the setting.(default:None)
Right-click : GroupBar menu is displayed.
Open new Group : Open new Group.
(new)Open new focused Group : Open new Group. And focused it.
Close curent Group : Close current Group.
(new)Hibernated Groups list : Hibernated Groups list is displayed.
Preferences : The setting window is displayed.
- Operation of Drag & Drop
Drag Tab and Drop to Group : The Tab is moved to the Group.
(new)Drag Group and Drop to other Group : Order change of Group. The dragged Group is inserted in the dropping position.
- (new)Operation that opens Tab in new Group (Override is used. It is possible to disable it by the setting.)
The tab that opened from the link, the bookmark, the history, and the location bar, etc. while pushing Shift key is opened in a new Group.
(It is not "Shift + left-click" but "Shift + middle-click" of "Shift + ctrl + left-click".)
The search result can be opened in a new Group if the search plugin for TabGroups Manager is used.
The output place of search result can be set.(current tab, new tab, new focused tab, new Group, new focused Group)
Group name is automatically set in the first word of the search word when this is used.
The search result from other add-on also can be opened in a new Group if the search plugin for TabGroups Manager is used.(example: Easy DragToGo, Second Search, and Drag de Go, etc.)
If it is used with a usual search plugin, it is possible to switch the search operation.
- (new)Context menu of link or bookmark
Open in New Group : Make a new Group, and the link or bookmark is opened in a new tab in the Group.
Open in Focused Group : Make a focused new Group, and the link or bookmark is opened in a new tab in that Group.
- (new)Context menu of bookmark folder
All Open in New Group : Make a new Group, and all the bookmarks in bookmark folder is opened in new tabs in that Group.
All Open in Focused Group : Make a new Focused Group, and all the bookmarks in bookmark folder is opened in new tabs in that Group.
- (new)Hibernation of Group
It have the function for hibernation of Group.
Hibernate button or context menu of Group
The Group can hibernate from the hibernate button, context menu of Group and etc.
The hibernated Group is restorable by the context menu of the hibernate button or the context menu of the GroupBar.
Because only minimum information of URI(URL) and the title, etc. is preserved for a hibernated Group, the memory can be saved.
Hibernated Groups is recorded in standard SessionStore of Firefox.
Therefore, even if Firefox is rebooted, the hibernated Group can restore.
Operation doesn't slow because the hibernated Group's contents is not downloaded when Firefox is started.
Cache is used by priority when Group is restored from hibernation.
Therefore, unnecessary traffic is not generated.
When latest information is necessary, please reload the page.
Now, it is not possible to restore it by selecting only a part of tab in the hibernated Group.
- (new)Toolbar button
There is "Hide TGM" toolbar button in the tool palette.
This button can be put in the toolbar by customizing the toolbar.
This button is pushed, the display and non-display of GroupBar can be switched.
GroupBar is automatically displayed when the GroupBar's status is changed.(when the selected Group was changed, when a new Group was added, and etc.)
There are two reasons for this.
When the state of GroupBar is changed, GroupBar is often needed.
The problem happens when element is operated with element non-displayed.

- Attention
SessionStore of Firefox seems to preserve only information of when last window of Firefox was closed.
Therefore, the session information on an old window disappears if you close an old window after you open a new window.
It is the same even if you don't use TabGroups Manager.
However, because the case to open a lot of tabs increases if you use TabGroups Manager, the damage when you made a mistake in the operation becomes serious.
If you are using the hibernation function of the Group, the damage when session information disappears is more serious.
I have not found a good method of settlement to this problem yet.
Please take care not to lose session information.

Information of Compatibility
Firefox
It is compatible in Firefox 3.0.*.
It is not compatible in Firefox 2.*.
Now, it doesn't test in Firefox 3.1.*.
Tab Mix Plus (tested in version 0.3.7.3)
It is almost compatible.
However, the following problems happen when the setting of "Tab Mix Plus" "When tabs don't fit width" is "Multi-row".
The width of the display of the tab becomes minimum width set by "Tab Mix Plus".
Moreover, the number of rows of multi-row tabs doesn't change even if the number of tabs displayed changed by the selection of Group.
Similarly, the display of the scroll button doesn't change either.
The counter measure have not been found yet.
Now, the method in which the user is possible is that setting of "Tab Mix Plus" is not "Multi-row".
Easy DragToGo, Second Search, Drag de Go (tested in Easy DragToGo 1.1.2.2, Second Search 0.5.2008111401, Drag de Go 0.2.5.1 )
It is possible to operate cooperatively.
The tab can be opened in new Group when tab is opened by these add-on.
Easy DragToGo :
It opens search word as URL without search plugin while pushing ctrl key.
Therefore, even if the search plugin for TabGroups Manager is used, the setting of the operation to ctrl key is invalid.
