Software Search (Software112) is basically a search engine for Firefox that you can add to the list of available search engines you have available in the Search Box (right top corner of the browser). Unlike other search engines you have there, this add-on will let you search for software only and return results based on your query. You can search for instance for PDF Software, Backup Software or any other type (so not only by software name but by description too), and it will return freeware or shareware programs with their own download information and reviews (if available). You can interact with each listing yourself too, by leaving a comment or rating the application.
The Software Search via Software112.com add-on is a very simple application that uses OpenSearch, thus is error-free and doesn't contain any type with annoyances (no spyware, viruses, etc., and it will not change any of your system settings). It basically just adds one more software search engine (that uses the software library database from http://www.software112.com/ ) to your existing list, and as easily as it is installed, it can be removed too if you don't like it.
