Hotmail-Ad-Zap! is an extremely light-weight add-on for Firefox. You won't even know it is there!
Hotmail-Ad-Zap! removes the 'skyscraper' type ad that appears in the web UI of Hotmail, so that you can reclaim valuable screen space. The ad, on the right side of the screen, occupies a good 1 inch or so horizontally.
Using this add-on, people with a small display can reclaim valuable screen real-estate. Even people who have bigger display but are annoyed by those tall distracting ads, can benefit from this add-on.

· The new version of Hotmail which came around in late July - early August 2010 bypassed the checks made by Hotmail-Ad-Zap and managed to show banner ads even when the add-on was installed.
· Version 1.1 of the add-on is designed to handle this issue. Now, even the new Hotmail interface will not be able to display ads or take up space.
