Copy Plain Text is an extension that lets you copies text without formatting.

Have you ever copied something to Thunderbird or Office and been annoyed that the text formatting (bold, font size, etc) came with it? Don't you wish you could just copy the text itself, without having to copy it, paste it into notepad, then copy it again?

This extension gives you an option to copy text without the formatting. You can even set it to trim extra space in and around the copied text!

How do I use it?

1. Highlight text to copy
2. Click Edit > Copy as Plain Text
3. Now you can paste this plain text anywhere.

Options

Trim space around text
Removes any space before and after the text selected

Replace extra spaces
Replaces any occurrence of multiple spaces with a single space

Remove extra empty lines
Converts two or more empty lines into a single line

Make as default COPY action
Hijacks the default copy action to use this extenion to copy text.

Requirements:

· Firefox 1.0 - 2.0.0.* ALL
