Blend In is an extension that provides Blends OS-related values in User-Agent HTTP request header & a number of JS properties, so that Firefox and Thunderbird appears to sites visited as running on the OS used the most in the world. At present, main target audience is Mac & Linux users...
Currently, Windows XP is used the most (a bit over 50% market share), so the add-on ensures that sites visited see values that are the same as those on Windows XP. This ensures lower fingerprintability, and improves privacy.
The following fields are made the same as on a Firefox running on Windows XP:
1. User-Agent HTTP header.
2. JS properties (can be viewed locally by Display'ing in Scratchpad, etc.):
2.1. navigator.userAgent
2.2. navigator.appVersion
2.3. navigator.oscpu
2.4. navigator.platform
2.5. navigator.buildID
