Bitnami Open Atrium Module
Bitnami Open Atrium Module is a companion for Bitnami’s Open Atrium stack product, which allow users to deploy the Open Atrium web-based application on their personal computers. The module has been designed for the Bitnami LAMP stack and does not include all of Open Atrium’s runtime dependencies.
What is Open Atrium?
Open Atrium is a free, web-based and open source software that helps teams to collaborate efficiently by providing them with an Intranet platform, which includes a calendar, a to do list, a blog, a wiki, a shoutbox, as well as a dashboard to manage it.
Install Bitnami Open Atrium Module
Bitnami always provides native installers for its stacks and modules, which can be used on any operating system to install a web-based application. These native installers are built using the BitRock InstallBuilder tool. To install Open Atrium on your desktop computer or laptop, download the file that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), run it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Run Open Atrium on the cloud or virtualize it
Thanks to Bitnami, users can also run Open Atrium on the cloud, simply by using Bitnami’s cloud images designed for the Amazon EC2 and Windows Azure cloud hosting services. Additionally, it is possible to virtualize Open Atrium, thanks to Bitnami’s virtual appliance based on the latest LTS release of the Ubuntu Linux operating system and designed to work with the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software. A Docker container will also be provided on the project’s homepage.
The Bitnami Open Atrium Stack
As mentioned, Bitnami also offers an all-in-one solution that greatly simplifies the installation and hosting of the Open Atrium application, as well as of its runtime dependencies, on personal computers. The product is called Bitnami Open Atrium Stack and is available for download on Softpedia, free of charge.
