Bitnami OSClass Stack
Bitnami OSClass Stack is a freely distributed software project that greatly simplifies the deployment of the OSClass software and its runtime dependencies. It is a cross-platform product that runs on all mainstream operating systems and it’s distributed as native installers, cloud images, a virtual appliance, a LAMP module, as well as a Docker container.
What is OSClass?
OSClass is a free and open source and fully customizable web-based application that allows users to easily create a classifieds website without any technical knowledge. It can be used to create a website for car classifieds, real estate ads, rentals or job listings. The app runs on top of a web server and needs a database to store its data.
Installing Bitnami OSClass Stack
Bitnami OSClass Stack is supported on GNU/Linux, Apple Mac OS X, as well as Microsoft Windows operating systems, distributed as native installers for 32-bit and 64-bit hardware platforms. To install OSClass on your computer, you must download the package the corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture, run it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Run OSClass on the cloud or in a virtual machine
In addition to install OSClass on your personal computer, you can also deploy it on the cloud using Bitnami’s cloud images for Amazon EC2 and Windows Azure cloud hosting providers. Furthermore, OSClass can run on a virtual machine, which is provided by Bitnami free of charge on the project’s homepage, based on the latest version of Ubuntu and designed to work with the Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX/ESXi virtualization software.
The Bitnami OSClass Module
Besides the Bitnami OSClass Stack product reviewed here, users can also download the Bitnami OSClass Module software from Softpedia, which allows them to deploy the OSClass software on top of an existing Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) installation.
