Installing BitNami Ruby Stack
BitNami provides users with native installers for the Ruby Stack, which are compatible with all GNU/Linux distributions, as well as with the Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems. To install the BitNami Ruby Stack on your personal computer, simply download the file that corresponds to your computer’s architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) using the dedicated download section above, run it and follow the instructions provided on the screen.
Run Ruby on Rails on the cloud
Thanks to BitNami, you will be able to run the Ruby on Rails development platform on the cloud using a pre-built cloud image for Windows Azure or Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers. In addition, you can use BitNami’s virtual images built for Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX/ESXi to virtualize Ruby on Rails. The virtual machine is based on the latest LTS version of the Ubuntu Linux operating system.
