Bitnami ResourceSpace Module
Bitnami ResourceSpace Module is a free and cross-platform software project that allows you to deploy the ResourceSpace application on top of a Bitnami LAMP, WAMP or MAMP stack. It is a companion for the BitNami ResourceSpace Stack product, which does not include the ResourceSpace’s runtime dependencies.
What is ResourceSpace?
ResourceSpace is a web-based, free, platform-independent and open source digital asset management system which has been designed to give your content creators easy and fast access to print and web ready assets.
Installing Bitnami ResourceSpace Module
Bitnami ResourceSpace Module’s native installers were packaged using BitRock's cross-platform installer tool. It is supported on the GNU/Linux, Apple's Mac OS X and Microsoft's Windows operating systems. Both 32-bit and 64-bit (recommended) computers are supported at this time.
To install the ResourceSpace application on top of your Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) Stack, Bitnami WAMP (Windows, Apache, MySQL and PHP) Stack or Bitnami MAMP (Mac, Apache, MySQL and PHP) Stack, you will have to download the package that corresponds to your computers arch, run it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Run ResourceSpace in the cloud or virtualize it
Thanks to Bitnami, users will also be able to run the ResourceSpace application in the cloud with their hosting platform or by using a pre-built cloud image for the Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers. Additionally, you can virtualize ResourceSpace, by using Bitnami’s Ubuntu-based virtual appliance for the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software.
The Bitnami ResourceSpace Stack and Docker container
Besides the Bitnami ResourceSpace Module product reviewed here, users can also download Bitnami ResourceSpace Stack, which greatly simplifies the installation and hosting of the ResourceSpace web-based app and of its runtime dependencies on desktop computers or laptops. The Bitnami ResourceSpace Stack product is available for download on Softpedia, free of charge. A ResourceSpace Docker container will also be distributed on the project’s homepage.
