Bitnami LimeSurvey Module
Bitnami LimeSurvey Module is a free software project, a module designed to enable Linux users to install the LimeSurvey application on top of an existing Bitnami LAMP stack, without having to deal with LimeSurvey’s runtime dependencies. It is also available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, for Bitnami WAMP and MAMP products.
What is LimeSurvey?
LimeSurvey allows users to quickly create intuitive, powerful, online question-and-answer surveys that can work for tens to thousands of participants without much effort. The survey software itself is self-guiding for the respondents who are participating.
Installing Bitnami LimeSurvey Module
Bitnami’s native installers have been designed from the ground up to automate the setup of a web-based application on mainstream operating systems. To install the LimeSurvey application on your personal computer powered by any GNU/Linux distribution, you will have to first download the package that corresponds to your computer’s architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), run it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Virtualize LimeSurvey or run it in the cloud
Thanks to Bitnami, users are now able to virtualize LimeSurvey by using the pre-built virtual appliance based on the latest stable release of Ubuntu and designed to work with either Oracle VirtualBox or VMware virtualization software, as well as to run LimeSurvey in the cloud, simply by using Bitnami’s pre-built cloud images for Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers.

Besides the Bitnami LimeSurvey Module product reviewed here, users can also download the Bitnami LimeSurvey Stack native installers, which help them to install the LimeSurvey application and its runtime dependencies on personal computers. Bitnami LimeSurvey Stack can be downloaded from Softpedia, free of charge, as native installers for GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. A LimeSurvey Docker container will also be available for download on the project’s homepage.
