What is Joomla!?Joomla! is an open source content Management System with a growing and active community of more than 400,000 users. It helps you create simple websites or complex corporate applications, as well as to manage each aspect of your website through a simple, web-based interface.
Installing Bitnami Joomla! StackBitnami Joomla! Stack is distributed as native installers built using BitRock’s cross-platform installer tool for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X or Solaris OSes. To install Joomla! on your Linux box, you will have to download the package that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), run it and follow the instruction displayed on the screen.
Run Joomla! in the cloudIn addition to install Joomla! on your personal computer, you can also deploy it in the cloud, thanks to Bitnami’s pre-built cloud images for Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers.
Joomla! virtual appliance and Docker containerBesides the native installers and cloud images, Joomla! is also distributed as a virtual appliance based on the latest stable version of Ubuntu Linux and designed to help you virtualize the application on the Oracle VirtualBox or VMware ESX and ESXi virtualization software. A Joomla! Docker container will be available for download on the project’s page.
The Bitnami Joomla! ModuleBitnami also offers a Joomla! module for users of the Bitnami LAMP, WAMP and MAMP stacks, allowing them to install the application without its runtime dependencies. Bitnami Joomla! Module is available for download as on Softpedia, free of charge, supporting all mainstream operating systems.
