DBSight is a free, cross-platform and highly customizable full-text search platform for relational databases. It is implemented in Java, quick, feature-packed, easy to customize, easy to integrate, easy to scale, easy to manage and easy to integrate, providing a Google-like full-text search functionality.

Key features include highlighted and summarized results, support for filtering results by specified field, results counter for each category and subcategory, recent searches history, as well as RSS feed support for the latest match.
The software also features spelling check, the ability to display cached highlighted full document, pagination of results, automatic results clustering, spell checking of existing content, tag cloud for search results, and support for multiple servers.
By combining various fields and items, such as score, product price or comments count, DBSight allows for a configurable ranking. It supports multiple database searches in a single, central server, and it’s compatible with the PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server and any other JDBC compatible database.
Various unique features are also implemented in DBSight, such as flexible date range search, time based ranking, date range search, hierarchical date facet search, facet search caching, grouping, sum, average, minimum, maximum and count for numeric facet searches, advanced facet search, support for multi-valued facets.
Its modern and integrated web-based administration interface allows users to easily adjust ranking algorithms, SQL caching, SQL batching, as well as to change similarity, filterable, searchable, memory size, indexing threads and text analyzer.
Under the hood, availability and supported operating systems
DBSight is written entirely in the Java programming language, which means that it’s a cross-platform project supported on all operating systems where Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is available, including Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X.
Being a “free of non-commercial use” software, DBSight comes only with binary packages in the ZIP and WAR file formats. It has been successfully tested on computers supporting either of the 32-bit or 64-bit instruction set architectures.
