PySoy project is a revolutionary cross-platform Python module which enables developers to easily build custom Python-based 3D games.

With the most computation-heavy parts of OpenGL and Physics processing in C, PySoy remains efficient while offering an high level object-oriented Python API. The goal is to allow for rapid development with little sacrifice.

Built primarily for games, PySoy offers an intuitive API for managing object behavior in 3D space. An optimized background thread takes care of the low-level processing leaving your Python code free to focus on higher level processing.

    Requirements:

    · python 2.3+
    · ode 0.8
    · glew
    · glib 2.0+
    · libogg 1.1.2+
    · libtheora alpha7

    What's New in This Release:

    · This version (1.0 Beta-2) is the first to include native support for Microsoft Windows. Just like it's Linux/X11 counterpart this port supports multiple windows, splash windows, fullscreen mode, and the same intuitive API to setup, access, and control from Python.

    · Also new in this version is the start of the new programmable controller system which will greatly reduce the latency between input and action while leaving Python free to focus on higher level tasks.

    · While the engine is still incomplete and under heavy development it's already usable for basic games. It's free software available under the GPLv3.
